Description

Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world and its magnificent harbor made it a logical trading port as far back as the Phoenicians; today it’s renowned for an active culture of festivals, art and fashion. Old world charm meets modern architectural genius in Valencia, where the abundant Gothic riches of a 15th century golden age contrast with the innovative and avant-garde buildings of the new millennium. Dynamic Barcelona is all about architecture, from the magnificent medieval buildings of the Gothic Quarter to the Modernist movement typified by the work of Antoni Gaudi including the amazing Sagrada Familia. Whether it’s tossing a coin in a fabled fountain or being awestruck by the magnificence of St. Peter’s Basilica and Michelangelo’s masterpieces, Rome seems to live up to its sobriquet, the Eternal City.

Cascais Private Walking Tour

The town of Cascais has been one of the most important harbours between Europe and the mighty Atlantic ocean, as a safe haven that attracted Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths and Arabs alike. During the Age of Discoveries, Cascais was the port from where caravels depart to Africa, Brazil, India and China. Here European royalty came in exile after World War I, and during WWII Cascais became a centre for diplomacy and espionage.

Capitoline Museum – Ticket

Welcome to the world’s first museum! The Empire Roman Museum has a fascinating collection of art and artefacts all telling the fascinating history of Rome. In 1734 Pope Clementine XII decided to make a significant collection of artwork and ancient sculptures permanently accessible to the people of Rome.
