Sir Bani Yas Island
Sir Bani Yas Island is part of the Al Gharbia region of the United Arab Emirates. Its dominated by the Arabian Wildlife Park, with its roaming giraffes, cheetahs and gazelles. Multiple archaeological sites across the island include the ruins of an ancient Christian monastery. Salt dome hills define the island's desert interior. The coast features beaches, sea kayak routes and a shipwreck. |

Abu Dhabi
Once a small fishing village, the capital of the United Arab Emirates today is one of the worlds most modern, cosmopolitan city. Cruise to Abu Dhabi and visit the Heritage Village to step back in time to a pre-oil desert lifestyle. Admire the fascinating museum exhibits, explore the Bedouin encampment and browse the small shops in the rebuilt traditional souq village. Next, relax on the sandy Saadiyat or Yas public beach and take a dip in the warm, turquoise sea water. End your visit with a tour of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, an architectural marvel with gold-plated chandeliers and the worlds largest hand-woven carpet. |

Doha
Qatars capital is a city in the making. Once a small fishing and pearling town, the city has undergone tremendous growth: Today, its a mix of ultra-modernity and classical culture. Cruise to Doha and start your visit in the reinvented and atmospheric Souq Waqif, the standing market where you can peruse the stalls full of colorful, fragrant spices and ornate, handwoven traditional garments. Then, marvel at the treasures in the world-class Museum of Islamic Art, where youll find ancient Persian rugs, Turkish mosaics and other pieces of traditional handicraft. Next, take a taxi to Katara Cultural Village: Built in 2010, its a modern reinvention of classic Qatar architecture, with many small, hidden alleys and a huge marble amphitheatre at its center. |

Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah is the northernmost emirate of the United Arab Emirates. Its known for its Arabian Gulf beaches. In the capital city of the same name, the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah occupies a centuries-old fort. The museum features regional history and archaeological exhibits. Nearby is the large, traditional Mohammed bin Salem Mosque. Northeast, the mountaintop Dhayah Fort dates from the 19th century. |

Khasab
Khasab is a port city on northern Oman's Musandam Peninsula. Khasab Fort has crenellated stone turrets, model wooden boats and a museum with handicrafts and archaeological finds. From Khasab Harbor, wooden boats cruise the Strait of Hormuz, offering rugged coastal views and dolphin sightings. South, past mountain villages and green valleys, Jabal Hareem peak is known for its marine fossils. |
