Take the 25-minute drive north to Maniniowali Beach to swim or snorkel in the ultra-blue waves alongside dolphins and sea turtles. Often referred to simply as Kona, the area is also a place of deep historical significance. Cruise to Kailua Kona and check out Kaloko-Honokahau National Historical Park, a Hawaiian Heritage Site where youll encounter early temples, ancient petroglyphs and traditional fishponds. See where your morning cup comes from at one of the coffee plantations on the slopes of Hualalai volcano ? if youre daring, you can even hike to the summit

Day 19 Raiatea

The second largest island of French Polynesia has splendid lush green valleys, cascading waterfalls and vibrant pineapple and vanilla plantations. Surrounded by a large protected lagoon, the area has naturally become a top location for sailing, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving.

Huahine Nui (big Huahine) and Huahine-Iti (little Huahine), are two islands are joined by a narrow isthmus and enclosed within a protective necklace of coral. Huahine is covered with lush dense rainforests, and its off-shore "motu" islets providing luscious gardens for its watermelon and cantaloupe industries.

Moorea's craggy volcanic peaks, reflected in the tranquil waters of Cook's and Oponohu bays, protrude from the island's basaltic base. Lush mountain slopes are covered with rainforest or pineapple plantations, and white sand beaches border crystalline lagoons.
